Abel Collier, MD, was educated at Peterhouse, Cambridge, where he matriculated as a pensioner in March, 1645-6, and took the degree of bachelor of arts in 1649; when, applying himself to the study of medicine, he proceeded to Padua, and there took his degree of doctor of medicine 14th January, 1654-5. He was incorporated at Oxford on the 31st October following; was admitted a Candidate of the College of Physicians 11th September, 1656; and a Fellow 25th June, 1668. His widow paid to the College on the 14th December, 1672, her husband’s promised subscription of 20l towards the building of the college in Warwick-lane.
