Andrew Philip Kirk

Andrew Philip Kirk was a consultant in rheumatology and rehabilitation for the South Buckinghamshire NHS Trust. He was born in London, the son of Harold Bertram Kirk, an ophthalmic optician, and Iris Kirk. He attended Christ’s College, Finchley and went on to study medicine at St Thomas’ Hospital Medical School. He gained a BSc in 1969 and qualified in 1972.

From 1976 to 1978 he was a registrar on the medical unit of the Royal Free Hospital. He then became an honorary senior registrar at St Mark’s Hospital. From 1983 he was a senior registrar in rheumatology at the London Hospital.

In 1989 he was appointed as a consultant in rheumatology and rehabilitation in South Buckinghamshire.

In 1970, he married Marilyn Susan Kirk, an independent consultant. They had two sons.
