Denise Ramlogan

Denise Ramlogan was a consultant dermatologist in Wigan. She was born in Trinidad, the daughter of Balchan Ramlogan, a headmaster, and Dharmatee Ramlogan, a secretary. She was educated at St Joseph’s Convent, Trinidad, and then studied medicine at the University of the West Indies at Mona, Jamaica. She qualified in 1992. She gained her MRCP in 1997.

From 1995 to 1997, she was a senior house officer at Bristol Royal Infirmary. She was then a specialist registrar at Selly Oak and North Staffordshire hospitals in the Midlands. From 2001 to 2003, she was a specialist registrar for the North West Deanery. In 2004 she was appointed as a consultant dermatologist in Wigan.

Outside medicine, she played badminton and tennis. She was married to Isaac Kadir, a cardiac surgeon. They had two children.
