Bernard Peter Hunt

Bernard Peter Hunt was a consultant rheumatologist in the Boston and Lincoln area. He was born in Southend-on-Sea, the son of William Branson Hunt, a journalist, and his wife, Ivy. Educated at Southend High School for Boys, he studied medicine at St Catherine's College, Cambridge and University College Hospital, London.

After qualifying in 1974, he did house jobs at the City Hospital, Nottingham and at Hull and Beverley district hospitals. He also worked as a tutor in rheumatology at Manchester University. In 1982 he was appointed to the post of consultant rheumatologist at the United Lincolnshire Hospitals Trust. He was a fellow of the British Society for Rheumatology.

In 1972 he married June Elizabeth, a nurse. They had two sons and a daughter. When he died, June and their family survived him.
