Ahmad Ebrahim Ahmad Hamad

Ahmad Ebrahim Ahmad Hamad was a consultant neurologist in Qatar. He was born in Lebanon, the son of Ebrahim Ahmad Hamad, a teacher, and Amna Mohammad Hamad, a housewife. He was educated in Doha, Qatar, and then studied medicine at Ain Shams University, Cairo, Egypt. He qualified in 1973.

In 1982 he passed his MRCP, and three years later gained his diploma in clinical neurology. He became a consultant neurologist in Doha, and wrote on a range of neurological subjects, including multiple sclerosis, nerve injuries as a result of trauma, epilepsy and dementia.

In 1979 he married Maha Kasem Hamad, a pharmacist. They had two sons.
