Daniel Benedict Carron

Daniel Benedict Carron was a consultant physician in Grimsby. He was born in Donegal, Ireland, the son of Daniel Carron, a company director, and was educated at Campbell College, Belfast, and then University College, Dublin.

After junior posts, he became a senior registrar in medicine at North Staffordshire Hospital and at the Royal Victoria Infirmary, Newcastle. He was then appointed to his consultant physician post at Grimsby.

At the time of his election to the fellowship at the Royal College of Physicians, he listed music and photography as his interests.

In 1954 he married Morfydd Sandbach, the daughter of a corn merchant and builder. They had a son and two daughters.
