James Tetley

James Tetley graduated at Edinburgh University in 1834 and practised at Torquay. During his career, he held appointments as physician and consulting physician to the Torbay Infirmary and Dispensary, the Torquay Hospital for Consumption, the Institution for Reduced Gentlewomen with Affected Chests, and the Newton Abbot Poor Law Union. A number of insurance companies also employed him as their physician.
