Robert Pierce, MD – A commoner of Lincoln college, Oxford, was actually created doctor of medicine at Oxford 12th September, 1661. He was constituted a Fellow of the College of Physicians by the charter of king James II, and was admitted as such 19th March, 1688-9. He practised with distinguished reputation at Bath; and, having reached nearly 100 years of age, died there in June, 1710. He was the author of
