Nicholas Parker

Nicholas Parker entered the London Hospital as a student in 1839 and took his M.B. degree in 1844. He was then given appointments on the staff of the Hospital, which included those of curator of the museum, lecturer on microscopic pathology and professor of medicine. He was elected assistant physician in 1851 and full physician in 1863, but resigned in 1866 owing to ill health. He retired to France but returned to London on the outbreak of the Franco-Prussian War. He lived in Ramsgate after 1874.
