John Master, MD, was educated at Christchurch, Oxford, and, accumulating his degrees in physic, proceeded MD 4th July, 1672. He was the intimate friend of Dr Thomas Willis, and assisted him in the dissections necessary for the preparation of his work “de Anima Brutorum,” in the preface to which he is characterised as “vir doctissimus ac intimus amicus meus, artis medicæ et anatomiæ peritus.” He likewise assisted Dr Willis in the Pharmaceutice Rationalis. He was admitted an Honorary Fellow of the College of Physicians 30th September, 1680.
