Christian Harrell, MD – A doctor of medicine, but of what university is not recorded, was elected an Honorary Fellow of the College of Physicians, 25th June, 1685. He was created a Fellow by the charter of king James II, and was admitted as such 12th April, 1687. He was one of the many physicians who were in medical attendance on Charles II in his last illness. In Sir Charles Scarburgh’s MS report of that illness, Dr Harrell’s name is variously and always misspelt. Harrell too was physician to Nell Gwyn, and attended her in her last illness.(1)
