Thomas Gooch

b.? d.?
MD Basle LRCP(1599)

Thomas Gooch, MD, a native of Suffolk, and a doctor of medicine of Basle, of six years’ standing, was examined, approved, and on the 25th June, 1599, admitted a Licentiate of the College of Physicians, “sed cum certis quibusdam conditionibus,” the nature of which is not specified in the Annals. Dr Gooch probably practised his profession in Norfolk. Among the benefactors to the Children’s or Boys’ Hospital at Norwich, we read, “1631. Tho: Gooch, MD of Hellesden, gave 100l and another 100l after the death of Mary his wife.”
