Richard Francklin, MD, of Queen’s college, Oxford, was actually created doctor of physic, 29th November, 1660, being as Wood(1) says, “put in among the rest, although no sufferer for the royal cause.” He was admitted a Candidate of the College of Physicians 25th June, 1662, but never, I believe, reached the fellowship. Dr Francklin held the office of physician to the Tower; and, as we learn from Smith’s Obituary, was buried 5th September, 1672.
