Mauritius Aubert – A Frenchman, who held the office of principal surgeon to the queen, was examined on the 26th November, 1629, and a licence granted him to administer internal medicines in the treatment of surgical diseases. “Mauritius Aubert, natione Gallus, primus Chirurgus Regineus, petiit fieri sibi Licentiam, exhibendi interna medicamenta in casibus chirurgiæ, eâdem libertate et formâ, quâ indultum est Do Fenton et Do Moulins Chirurgis.”
